Floral thank you …

2016-03-02 13.03.16

Hello Reader;

Today i am sharing with you a card made with one of Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration items, that were on offer this year.  I really liked this set its one where you can build dimension with different shading by using the three different stamps for the flower head.  I like to have a lot of thank you cards handy for when i need them. This one was so quick to replicate quickly.

Yellow Blooms…

2016-03-04 12.48.30

Hello Reader;

The card i am sharing with you today takes a little bit of time but i think its worth it 🙂 I started by layering up the background stamp elements in a collage-style.  Then i stamped the flower image twice on another piece of card and i water coloured it with my inkpads.  I then fussy cut it twice and layered up the images in a decoupage way picking out the main stem of the flower. I then added the greeting and matted and layered the panel on to the card base

Balloons for you…

Hello Reader,

Quick card for you today, the patterned paper {DSP} is from Stampin’ Up! and i simply mounted it on a coordinating layer of cardstock stamped and punched the greeting and did the same.  Then mounted onto a simple white base – from Stampin’ Up they have their lovely smooth whisper white cardstock in a ‘thick’ version now which is great for making card bases – i then finished off with a rhinestone.

Foxy Friend…

2015-08-20 13.49.17

Hello Reader;

Today’s card is a simple coloured stamped image on a pre-made notecard base, I like to keep a small stock of these notecards so that i can make small cards quickly.  The image is from Penny Black and i have coloured it using spectrum noir pencils and then blended with fluid and stumps, then quickly mounted on to a notecard base.

I’m here for you …

Hello Reader,

Today the card i am sharing with you, is made using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! i really liked the sentiment and i felt that it was a good one to have in the box ready for any rocky times.  I like to let my friends know i am there for them or thinking of them if things are difficult for a while and what better way than a handmade card.  I coloured the image with coloured pencils and for a change corner punched the layers to give a different look.

Love…

2016-02-17 17.07.48

Hello Reader;

In February i wanted to send some valentines to my friends and pen pals so i made these little note cards.  All the supplies are from Stampin’ Up! It’s quiet an eclectic make using embossing powders in gold and clear and washi tape, doilies and twine and of course a few  gems and pearls.  I also did some stitching and pricking.

The sky is the limit…

2016-02-17 17.08.14

Hello Reader;

Today i am sharing a card, made for those hard to make for men.  The stamp set is from Stampin’ Up!, i did a bit of inking on the background to give it a sky and clouds feel.  I really liked this stamp set, i think it will end up getting a lot of use 🙂 {the set was part of their sale-a-bration promotion and is no longer available.}

Birthday Balloons…

2016-02-17 17.08.45

Hello Reader;

Today i am sharing a card that i made recently, i had seen a similar card on Michelle Last’s blog and it reminded me of this pop up technique that i hadn’t made for ages! So of course i had to make one, I used the Stampin Up! Balloon punch and a matching stamp set.  How the pop up works is that you pull the tab and that pops the balloons up and reveals the birthday message. Instead of an envelope i used a polka dot treat bag.

Swallowtail for you…

2016-01-24 10.48.35

Hello Reader;

Today i am sharing a card with you that i sent to a friend a while ago; it was made using the swallowtail stamp from Stampin’ Up! and i created a shaker aperture using a similar butterfly with some shrink plastic to make teeny butterflies which i added to some beads and sequins.

Blue Blossoms …

2016-01-24 16.18.58

Hello Reader;

I am sharing a card i made with you today with some left overs from another project.  I had stamped and embossed a whole sheet of A4 using this lovely big flower stamp from Stampin’ Up!.  I coloured it using a blender pen and my navy ink pad.  This bit was left over from my other project so i quickly trimmed it to size and stuck it to a notecard finished it off with a bit of twine and a button.  That’s one ready for the box for when i need a card next; i always keep a few packs of blank note cards on hand for just this reason so that i can quickly use left overs before tidying away.
