Floral Happy Days …

Hello Reader;

The layout i am sharing with you today was made using my Like For Ever monthly kit, this months kit focused on My Minds Eye on trend 2 range. I loved this kit – although there seemed to be a lot of flamingos?!? Flamingos seem to be the in thing at the moment; in the shops as well as in craft lines… can’t say that they do much for me! lol I used a large gold floral rub on on this page, its been a long time since i have used rub ons.  These ones went on really well and easily, so i will be looking out for more when i next buy supplies.  There was also these lovely acrylic shapes in the kit, for this layout i chose the one that matched the rub on and the flowers on the foil papers.

Seven years strong …

Hello Reader,

Today’s layout is one of my most favourite that i have made lately, i was really pleased with it when i finished it.  ‘’The papers are by Gossamer Blue, and came in a grab bag from Hey Little Magpie – again i ended up using the grab bag papers before my chosen papers! lol This layout was made from two sheets of paper, i added doilies and buttons from Stampin’ Up! The wooden figures are Freckled  Fawn and the stickers are from my stash.  I also did some pricking and i stitched a little with a hemp-type twine.

Birthday Balloons…

Hello Reader,

The layout that i am sharing with you today was inspired by a card sketch that i saw on pinterest.  Lots of banners and circles layered up then i added in a photo mount adhered with washi tape and finished off with some enamel dots and rhinestones.  All supplies are from Stampin’ Up!

Hello Reader,

A very simple layout from me today, i simply cut the layers to the correct size and then layered them up. Added a bit of journaling and some die cut letters and i was done 🙂 I have made a conscious effort to make sure that i scrap some layouts about me, what i do and my favourite things so that the girls have these to look back on in years to come 🙂

Cute…

Hello Reader;

I’m sharing another scrapbook layout with you today.  It seems i have two styles when it comes to scrapbooking either mad clashing patterns or lots of white space and this one fell in the white space camp.  I used a stencil to sponge some circles to start with and then used a paint splat stamp to add some splotches.  I used some scraps of paper from another layout behind the picture and stamped the title. I finished off with some gems and enamel dots.

You’re my little sunshine…

Hello Reader;

So i am sharing with you another ‘grab bag’ layout, it seems that the grab bag pages get my mojo going, because perversely every time i buy papers i like i never end up using them straight away but when the grab bag comes i open it up and off i go!  The papers i don’t know who’s brand they are but the fact that they were in a grab bag i would assume means that they are probably from a past season so most likely irrelevant, the banner flags were from bits left on my table.  The bottle caps i found in my stash a while ago and i flattened them with my big shot and popped a circle of patterned paper in before covering with glossy accents, i added a metal brad and a heart shaped paperclip. My sequins i threw at the page a few times then glued down the bits that looked like they were in the right place- a patented technique I’ll have you know 🙂

By the Sea…

2015-05-10 15.17.33

Hello Reader;

I wanted to scrap our day out to the beach but i don’t really do themed papers anchors and the what not’s would not be my thing, so when i saw these in a grab bag i had ordered from Hey Little Magpie i had to get to work straight away. I tend to do a one 12×12 page when i am scrapping an event or outing and then a page of pocket style to match. Loved these papers not something i would have picked myself which is why the grab bags work so well for me as they make me think out of my normal comfort zone, plus they’re flipping good value at £3.99 for 20 sheets. I added details with my stapler it has to be one of my most used bits of kit.

Spring Florals

Hello Reader,

Today i am sharing a scrapbook page, lots of layers on this one, the circle was cut from one of the papers and used the lines printed to cut the circle and then to write words that described the person in the photo along them. {scrapbook papers from Hey Little Magpie –JillyBean Saffron i think} I like to do twirly doodles on my pages round the edges as it gives it a little finishing touch, i also added glimmer paper to this layout.  This layout has a matching project life style page that i will share with you another day.

Twisted Heart…

2016-02-04 12.29.28

Hello Reader;

Today i am sharing with you a layout that i recently made, it is quite labour intensive but i love the effect.  I created a template with copier paper and then used a piercing tool to punch holes around the outline i then sewed between and across the holes in the heart until every hole was filled 🙂 i think it took about an hour and then once it was finished i popped my photo mounts on and decorated with rhinestones and gems.
